Kurt Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron"

Harrison Bergeron is a short story by Kurt Vonnegut, first published in 1961. The story takes place in a dystopian future where everyone is equal in every way. The government has mandated that all citizens must wear handicaps to ensure that no one is smarter, stronger, or more attractive than anyone else.
